Emerald Ash Borer Treatment

 
On August 20, 2014 the Minnesota Department of Agriculture confirmed an Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) infestation in Rochester, MN.  
 
The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive beetle from Asia and first discover in Detroit in 2002.  Since its discovery, it has spread to 24 states, as well as, Canada and has killed millions of ash trees.  Emerald ash borer larvae kill ash trees by tunneling into the wood and feeding on the tree’s nutrients. Minnesota is highly susceptible to the destruction caused by invasive insect. Minnesota has approximately one billion ash trees, the most of any state in the nation.
